What Is?
 
Adamastor is a wireless sensor and actuators network.
It works automatically with no human intervention: analyses values, controls actuators, triggers alerts and generates reports.
All this to ease your work and leave your time free to devote to tasks that absolutely require your attention.
Sensors
There are available Adamastor sensors for numerous parameters: temperature, humidity, magnetic contact, pressure, CO, etc.
The connexion between the sensors and the gateway is accomplished by a radio link, directly or through other sensors or routers, building a virtual network that connects all nodes. If a failure occurs in the link, the communications are routed through an alternative path maintaining the network functional at all times.
In the event that the gateway becomes unavailable or the network fails for any temporary reason, the sensor has an internal memory to save the samples until the link is back online, after which it will transmit them.
Gateway
The Adamastor gateway is the network cornerstone: manages all network and communications, triggers alerts and performs as proxy for the Adamastor Manager software or the monitoring server.
It includes a battery that allows it to keep working for several hours in case of power failure. In the event that the communication is lost with the host PC or the monitoring server, its internal memory acts as a buffer until the data can be relayed. The communication with the host PC is made through Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
Aditionally, the gateway can be connected with a monitoring server through Internet or GSM network.
Adamastor Monitoring Service
It is a service that manages data and alerts. Web based, accessible 24/7 in any location with Internet access.
Targets the users that want to use the full automated power of the system, without any concerns about technical details, or that need to manage several different locations.

Actuators
Because monitoring often is not enough, there are available Adamastor actuators that allow you to control power outputs, for example.
This way, the control loop can be closed in the most different situations, turning on motors, contactors, PLC control inputs, etc.
Information display
In some applications is most convenient that the information is made available without need to consult the host PC or the gateway.
With Adamastor the information display shows the information from monitoring points and events in a clear and visible way. For example: it will let you know about a door was left open for more than 10 minutes.
